Atom Universe - Work In Progress 

Hello folks, to show you our Work In Progress (W.I.P.) we thought we'd try and post an image a day, so you can see the progress of Atom Universe. Initially, we have several postings all at once as we are catching up with our Facebook posting's that started last week.

First, let's start with the big announcement posting!


Announcement posting:

OK, so now the interview is out, all the vouchers are given, we are free announce our project: 

Atom Universe! It's a theme park game where you can meet friends, chat and play lots of attractions and rides. We aim to release the 1st iteration in May 2015. It's still early days, and we will appreciate your opinion and feedback on a lot of aspects of the game's design.

Day One:

Let's start with this general shot of the hub: in the middle there will be a fountain where people can hang out, next to the big Ferris Wheel. All the rides are dotted around on the periphery. And, in the foreground there will be viewing platforms with holographic information terminals.

Day Two:

Today we have the concept illustration for Atom Universe: it is the first ever image that was produced for the game. It represents what we're aiming to achieve: a fun, futuristic theme park, filled with exciting rides and attractions... and tons of friends to interact with!

Day Three: 

This is the Crowbots arena, a dog-fighting game where you pilot a mechanized crow, in a multi-player battle in the skies!

Day Four: 

This picture is of the Ferris wheel (in the foreground,) and the Crowbots arena (in the background.) Notice the space shuttle in the distance? This will take you to different planets! But it's not going to be in the first release of the game. We'll have to create other planets first!

Day Five:

At the core of Atom Universe's theme park, the fountain is the central feature. Surrounded by benches, it's the place where people can meet up and chat. In the background, the Waverider will be a giant water slide, and the Hoverbash ride is a bumper car arena, with a twist. More on that later...

Day Six:

The hover bash: this is a bumper-car ride, themed around 1950's classic cars. Challenge your friends in this retro attraction with a twist: the bumper cars are hover-cars!

Day Seven: 

We plan to push avatar interactions one step further in Atom Universe.

In an update, we will develop locomotion objects to let other users hitch a ride with you. For example, you can equip a sports car, then invite another avatar to sit on the passenger seat, and enjoy the ride!

Day Eight:

The WaveRider (side view) - A giant roller coaster. With Unreal Engine 4 technology (supporting Virtual Reality and high-end next-generation console graphics,) ride the roller coaster of your dreams. Hopefully you can pick up a corn-dog or funnel cake to eat along the way.

Day Nine:

This is the entrance to the Hyper-sonic roller coaster ride. It is an interactive roller coaster with multiple tracks, so it's going to be quite unique. We have tons of ideas for this one, but it will take a while to make. So we'll come back to it another day, there is a lot to say about this epic ride!

Day Ten:

In the Motor Stunts attraction, you get to drive a buggy round loop-de-loops, ramps and bumps at high speed, to execute crazy stunts!

Last W.I.P. for 2014:

Here is the last W.I.P. image of 2014. We will recreate the Atom Republic Park in Atom Universe: you'll be able to meet friends, chill out, and dance in the music pavilion! We are running out of images to show you this side of Christmas, but will have more to show in the new year!
